Andy Whitfield who currently stars in Starz’s Spartacus was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Whitfield’s cancer was detected at an early stage and his prognosis is good. Andy will begin treatment in New Zeland immediately.

Said Andy: “I’m receiving excellent care, and am feeling strong, positive and determined with an army of support behind me.”

The first season of the show has wrapped, and concludes April 16th.

The filming of the 2nd season is what will be delayed as it was scheduled to begin filming towards the end of this month.
